The Pergolesi Spontini Foundation
is a cultural organisation that brings together tradition, innovation and community.

The project, dedicated to the Opera Season, stems from the recognition of the Pergolesi Theatre in Jesi as a Traditional Theatre, a symbolic place where cultural memory is renewed each year through artistic production. Promoting culture means bringing new life into places, people and the stories that inhabit them; it means preserving the legacy of the past and transforming it into accessible experiences capable of creating authentic connections between the institution and the community.

Format

The graphic format is an identifiable and recognisable space, designed to host different contents while maintaining coherence and institutional authority.
It draws on the distinctive visual elements of the opera poster tradition, restoring a sense of authoritativeness to communication.

Within the frame, the specific content is expressed: the opera. This is where the uniqueness of each proposal takes shape, within a flexible, open and narrative dimension.

Within the format, the uniqueness of the artistic proposal is expressed through narrative, material and illustrative forms. The subject takes shape and tells the programme, representing the very heart of the project.

I had never worked on opera theatre before, and this project became an opportunity to approach these themes. I interpreted the subject through my own stylistic signature, using techniques and forms that have characterised my animated films for years. Even in these works, I perceive movement, even when it may not be immediately visible, for example in colour and in the way it is applied.

From listening to research as the foundation for developing a meaningful trajectory.

Tradition, reinterpreted through visual language, does not remain a static memory, but becomes a living transmission and a concrete function: a cultural heritage that is continuously renewed through its encounter with the audience.
